Barcelona is an expensive city, my friend, but I think I could give you an advice. Go to Pension Fernando (C. Ferran Street no. 31) and see if they have any free rooms left. A room with single bed is 30-34 euros. I must warn you about the fact that these guys don't have private bath, but their rooms are very comfortable and clean. You can also make reservations at 301.79.93 or at reservas@hfernando.com.
