August is a good month to go to Barcelona ?(give a different answer) .
Most of the hotels and shops in Barcelona are owned by individuals, and they all close and go on holiday in August. The city is empty and also August is the hottest month of the year ! On the other hand, it's less traffic and quieter around the town. So, i guess it all comes down to your choice!
