general in response to olive's question: Can anyone recommend me a good hotel around the Sol in Madrid? someone who has actually stayed there? thank you(give a different answer) .
I spent a week at the Miau hotel a few month ago when I travelled to our Madrid office. The place is a 4 star hotel offering great accommodation especially for the business traveller. It's not cheap - I paid 90 Euros a night, but it's worth every penny - especially if your company is paying :) It's on Calle Principe, very close to the Sol metro station
