So I guess you're staying at one of the fancy hotels in the center of Madrid and they don't even offer you breakfast, right? just kidding. I stayed in the Los Austrias area myself and I usually went for breakfast at the La Maroquina restaurant on Puerta del Sol. Pastries start at around 1 Euro, but you can even go for truffles or candies. The waiters are very good, I mean polite and stuff. Worth starting your day there :)
