Best exchange rates are usually at the larger banks, such as the Caja de Madrid. Other banks also have good exchange rates. If you should choose to use your ATM card, you should know that they apply the same rates. Banks are closed on weekends, so you might find yourself forced to go to one of those bureaux de change around Plaza Mayor
