Seville: Basilica de la Macarena

Posted 1 year ago by avatar abdul in response to avatar monica's question: I'll stay in Seville for three days. What places should I visit? (give a different answer) .

Whatever you choose, don't miss The Basilica de la Macarena! There's the place where La Virgen de la Macarena is venerated (if you went to Seville during Semana Santa, you must have seen her image in town). Visiting it is free. It's situated on C. Bequer Street no. 1. There is this small treasury near by, with magnificent jewels of the saint which you can admire for 3 euros. If you're a student or over 65, you have a discount of 50%. The treasury is open daily between 9.30am-2pm and 5-8pm.
