The Cathedral of Seville is an architectural masterpiece and a historical landmark. With its 44 individual chapels, it is the third largest cathedral in the world and the greatest Gothic building ever constructed. The construction began at the beginning of 15th century and lasted for more than 100 years. Inside the cathedral you can see the tomb of Christopher Columbus, which is raised high up by 4 black-and-gold pallbearers who represent the eternally grateful monarchs of Castilla, Leon Aragon and Navarra. When entering the main altar you'll be impressed by its size and beauty - the greater altarpiece is considered one of the largest in the world with 27 metres high 18 metres wide.
